Location Project Date Client
London July 2016 Costain/Network Rail
BCS Design has been commissioned by Costain to be a part of the Crossrail Anglia Scheme for Network Rail.

The Crossrail Project is among the most significant infrastructure projects ever undertaken in the UK. It is related with the construction of a new railway that will become known as the Elizabeth line through central London in 2018. From improving journey times across London, to easing congestion and offering better connections, Crossrail will change the way people travel around the capital.

BCS has been carrying out structural assessments of signal structures across the Crossrail Anglia Scheme. Some of the project features are:

- Site survey, including topographical survey, signal geometry and foundation inspection;

- Inspections and assessments to signal gantries and straight posts for the signal red aspect deflection and rotation

- Confirm structures are adequate to accommodate loading of the proposed new modifications;

- Desktop reviews and identification of structural non-conformances;

- Calculations of superstructure

- Factual and Feasibility report and drawings
